English Language Coaching

Precision and authority in English. Language as internal negotiation.

Language is negotiation. Every word is a choice. Every sentence is you deciding what's real, what matters, what you're willing to say.

When English isn't your first language, this negotiation gets harder. You're not just learning grammar—you're learning how to stake a claim in a language that wasn't yours to begin with. You're negotiating between what you want to say and what the language will let you say. Between precision and approximation.

English as Internal Negotiation

Using the frameworks from Your Civil War Within, we treat language learning as internal negotiation: What does this word really mean? What are you trying to say, and how do you say it in a way that's true? We work toward precision—not perfection, but accuracy in what you're trying to communicate.

This is different from most English coaching. We're not just fixing grammar. We're working on the clarity of your thinking, the precision of your expression, and your authority as a speaker of English who brings your own voice to the language.

If you're neurodivergent: Language processing is often different in ADHD and autistic brains. The ways you structure sentences, the difficulty finding the word you want, the precision you sometimes demand of language—these are features, not bugs. We work with your brain's language patterns, not against them.

The Role of Writing

Writing is where language precision really happens. Speaking can be approximation; writing demands clarity. In this coaching, we use structured journaling and written practice to deepen your command of English.

This combines English coaching with the cathartic benefits of writing. You're not just learning English—you're using writing as a tool for clarity, for processing, for making your thinking visible on the page.

What This Coaching Covers

Beyond grammar: We work on the deeper patterns of English—how ideas connect, how tone works, how to structure an argument so it lands. We practice speaking, writing, and thinking in English simultaneously.

Your voice: The goal isn't to erase your accent or make you sound like a native speaker. It's to help you speak and write with clarity and authority—as someone who has something to say and knows how to say it.

Precision over fluency: We prioritize saying what you mean, not saying a lot. Better to speak less and be understood than to fill space with approximations.
